Dog immune status titre testing Australia

VacciCheck is an Antibody Test Kit which is able to detect antibody levels in the small amount of blood that is required for the test to be completed, and the result that is obtained within 30 minutes can be extremely useful in determining the vaccination status of the dog or cat. If the antibody levels show a positive response in the test, for any of the previously mentioned pathogens, then there is a high probability that the animal has adequate immunity and does not require re-vaccinating at that time. However, it is certainly advisable to perform another Titer Test approximately 3 years later to reassess their immune status.

So, after now having performed a significant number of these Titer Tests what are my thoughts on the test itself? Well, I can honestly say that I am very happy using the VacciCheck Test kit, not only for it’s portability (which means I can do home visits if required) but also for it’s reliability and way the test results are ‘scaled’ which gives very beneficial information regarding how each animal’s immunity has the potential to cope with each of the viruses. This way any vaccination or titer testing protocols can be tailored specifically for the animal depending upon their age, history and health status.

You will be given a certificate to show the vaccination status of your cat or dog.

Healthy Pets Naturally recommendation

Patty recommends her clients ask their dog’s vet to undertake titre testing to test their immunity to canine distemper, hepatitis and parvo virus rather than having regular vaccinations which may not be necessary.
